This made me realize I don’t like Mustangs as much as I thought I did.

The '60s ones were excellent, it started going all wrong in the '70s and I didn't like any until we got to the modern-classic styling of the mid-'00s.

It’s a little janky - I kind of wish they’d centered on wheelbase or indexed off the front or something. I don’t think they’re all the same scale, and jumping back and forth left/right for years actually on the same sheet metal is a touch awkward.

(I’m not a Mustang guy but) I love it!

There are a LOT of Mustang people who only like the 65-70 and then pick up again in the mid-00s. That’s why 71-73s are so cheap and Mustang IIs can be bought for a block of cheese.

I’m similar to that...but much weirder. So I can see the love/hate over generations.

64.5 - 67 hardtops/fastbacks

68 - 69 fastbacks

79 - 93 notches

15+ hardtops

And that’s it. In general I don’t like ‘verts. I really like the early simpler fastbacks over the later ones.

You don’t like the 70s? I prefer the 69 myself but the 70 is almost identical except for the nose so I rank it second among my favorites.

No. I just can’t stand the nose - it’s the inset headlights. It bugs the hell out of me. I also think the 69FB is heavy handed on the styling, but still it does look badass. It’s just overdone compared to the early models.

I should probably hide in a bunker or don a flamesuit about now...

Anybody that flames you for your subjective opinion is an ass. Disagree, sure, but get all butt hurt because somebody doesn’t agree with them? Ass.

But that’s like the entire foundation of the interwebz. If I don’t get flamed for my opinion, the whole thing unravels. That’s it, man. Game over, man. Game over!

Some people are not equipped for rational thought, ya know?

Oh, I know. Right now I’m being flamed for having the nerve to say the ‘96 Probe GT that I owned was a fun car.

Nice... What’s not to like, it’s an American-ized MX-6 and has a sub-3k curb weight...

When I was a kid my neighbor bought a brand new ‘88 GT 5spd. Thought it was cool as hell.
